The Black History Festival (BHF) is an annual Pan-African celebration that honors the history, culture, achievements, and future of people of African descent across the globe. Organized by BIDEC INC and partners, the festival brings together government leaders, cultural ambassadors, entrepreneurs, creatives, and diaspora communities through a series of events including forums, exhibitions, performances, and investment showcases.
Held in the United States and other strategic locations, the BHF promotes cultural diplomacy, diaspora unity, economic empowerment, and the global visibility of Black excellence. It also provides a platform to advance trade, tourism, and development initiatives linked to Africa and its global diaspora.
The Black History Lecture is a flagship intellectual segment of the Black History Festival that provides a platform for scholarly reflection, historical analysis, and policy-oriented dialogue on the legacy and future of African and African Diaspora contributions to global civilization.
Featuring renowned historians, thought leaders, diplomats, and cultural figures, the lecture focuses on critical themes such as Pan-Africanism, civil rights, economic liberation, and cultural resilience. It is designed to educate, inspire, and connect audiences by highlighting untold stories, fostering intergenerational knowledge transfer, and shaping the global Black narrative.
This annual lecture not only commemorates historical milestones but also serves as a call to action for collective progress, unity, and development across the Black world.
The Global Goals Arts Celebration is a dynamic cultural and creative showcase aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It highlights how art, culture, and creativity can drive awareness, advocacy, and action for global development.
Bringing together artists, performers, activists, and innovators from across the African continent, the diaspora, and global communities, the celebration uses music, dance, visual arts, fashion, and storytelling to inspire dialogue and promote themes such as gender equality, climate action, quality education, and economic inclusion.
Held in a festive and inclusive atmosphere, the event is both a celebration of diversity and a platform for cultural diplomacy, social impact, and youth empowerment — reinforcing the role of the creative sector in building a just and sustainable world.
AfroWood is a cinematic and storytelling platform that celebrates African heritage, narratives, and talent across the global film and media landscape. Inspired by the spirit of Nollywood and other African film industries, AfroWood amplifies indigenous storytelling, cultural pride, and diaspora connections through the power of film.

The Ghana Convention @ UNGA 2025 is a high-level side event strategically hosted during the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. Named after legendary composer Ephraim Amu, the competition brings together choirs from schools, churches, and communities to perform traditional, classical, and contemporary pieces. It promotes cultural pride, artistic excellence, and youth development through performances, workshops, and mentorship — positioning Ghana’s choral music as a tool for education, unity, and cultural diplomacy.
The Ghana Orange Economic Dialogue is a strategic forum focused on advancing Ghana’s creative and cultural industries — collectively known as the Orange Economy.
