Developing Talent and Cultural Linkages Across Borders

BIDEC INC’s exchange programs create pathways for learning, collaboration, and leadership across Africa and the diaspora.Through fellowships, academic exchanges, and creative partnerships, we help individuals grow and institutions thrive.
Each program fosters global exposure, innovation, and meaningful cross-cultural impact.

The MFCCAT is a capacity-building program designed to train and empower media professionals in promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage, creative economy, and tourism sector. Through workshops, field assignments, and expert mentorship, the fellowship equips journalists, broadcasters, and digital creators with the tools to tell impactful stories that attract investment, boost tourism, and celebrate national identity.

It aims to create a cohort of informed media ambassadors who can champion Ghana’s cultural and creative sectors locally and globally.

The Global Africa Youth Fellowship is a leadership and capacity-building program that empowers young Africans and members of the African diaspora (ages 18–35) to drive change across sectors. It provides mentorship, training, and networking opportunities to strengthen their skills in innovation, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

Key Focus Areas:
• Leadership development
• Mentorship and professional training
• Pan-African networking and collaboration
• Youth-led innovation aligned with the SDGs

The fellowship aims to build a new generation of empowered youth leaders who contribute meaningfully to Africa’s transformation and global progress.

Educational exchange programs are cross-cultural academic initiatives that connect students, educators, and institutions from Ghana, Africa, and the global diaspora. They promote mutual learning, global exposure, and institutional partnerships through:

• Student & Faculty Exchanges
• Joint Research & Innovation
• Short-Term Institutes & Thematic Workshops
• Cultural and Academic Immersion

These programs aim to build global competencies, foster collaborative development, and empower participants to contribute to national and continental advancement through education and cultural diplomacy.

Professional exchange programs offer mid-career individuals the opportunity to gain international experience, share knowledge, and strengthen institutional capacity across sectors such as governance, business, healthcare, technology, and the creative industries. Participants engage in short-term fellowships, placements, and collaborative projects with host organizations.

These programs help participants return home equipped with global best practices, stronger networks, and new perspectives to support innovation and development in Africa, America, the Caribbean, and other countries.

Creative exchange programs connect Ghanaian and African creatives with international peers to foster collaboration, cultural dialogue, and artistic innovation. Through residencies, joint projects, masterclasses, and showcases, these programs build global networks, enhance professional growth, and increase international visibility for African creative talent.
